[MeFredBob] "Syllabus"

One-on-One Art Mentoring
Student: MeFredBob

Course Goals
  1. To learn basic human proportions through the traditional eight-head structure and through figure drawing exercises. (How far we go in regards to this will be established when I see your work!)
  2. To learn to break things down by shapes so as to understand its volume.
  3. To learn to loosen up line-work so as to express ideas more expressively and fluidly. Fluidity is key!
  4. To look at the work of several illustrators and understand what makes their work successful.
    "Semi-Realistic" Examples: Frank Stockton, Sam Weber, Angie Wang, etc.
    "Stylized" Examples: Glen Keane, Jillian Tamaki, Heather "Makani" Campbell, etc.
  5. To create a final illustration based on the principals taught! Yay! c:
